The job at Dior has finally been filled by none other than Raf Simons. He will take over immediately as artistic director, replacing John Galliano, who was fired from Dior last year after making anti-Semitic remarks. In an interview on Monday, Simons expressed delight at the appointment, saying "The first time I heard about the Dior position, I thought, This feels right." His first collection is planned for July at the fall haute couture shows.
